The Humble Administrator's Garden, one of the four famous gardens in China, the top one in Suzhou. the entire garden was built around streams and ponds, which is its most outstanding feature. With more than 500 years of hisotry, the first owner is Wang Xian-chen, an imperial censor of Ming Dynasty. It is listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site.
PingJiang Rd Historical Neighborhood, with beautiful scenery, it's the best preserved historical neighborhood in Suzhou, awarded as Cultural Relics by UNESCO. It embraces many rivers, bridges and lanes, as well as large number of old residences of celebrities build in Ming and Qing dynasties.
Master-of-Nets Garden: With an area of only about 0.5 hectare, the garden shows a well-conceived design of its space, and all the buildings in the garden are small, beautiful and exquisite. It was included in the World Cultural Heritage list by the UNESCO. The reputation of this garden has increased internationally since 1980, when a similar court of this garden (Ming Room) was constructed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City.
Suzhou No1. Silk Factory: It's a silk industrial demonstration center, devoted to the display of Suzhou silk culture of reeling, weaving and operation. It is composed of Factory History Hall, Ancient Time Hall, Sericulture Hall, Weaving Workshop and silk shops, with more than 2000 varieties of materials, guests can buy the genuine Suzhou silk and brocade.

Tiger Hill: a symbol of Suzhou. It reached its heyday in the Spring and Autumn period (500BC),when King He-lv of the State of Wu built his temporary palace here. Legend has it that three days after King He-lv was buried here, a white tiger came and sat upon his tomb, as though guarding it, hence the name Tiger Hill. The Yunyan Pagoda on the hill-top is the representative and symbol of Suzhou.
Suzhou Embroidery Research Institution: Founded in 1957, the Suzhou Embroidery Research Institution displays the high-quality products of Suzhou embroidery . Suzhou embroidery is one of the major school of Chinese embroidery. The research institute has a strong technological strength, and many of its embroidered works of art won the gold medals at international expos and the gold cup awards. Paying a visit to the institution, people can learn the history of Suzhou embroidery, appreciate excellent works, and watch artisans doing embroidery on the spot.
Shan Tang Street: 3.5km long, borders the Shantang River and runs parallel to the river. It is adjacent to the Changmen Gate in the east and reaches Tiger Hill in the west. with the double functions of transportation and sightseeing, the street begn to be flourishing in the Song Dynasty. The street and river, along with the construction of many private villas, ancient bridges and houses, shows the picturesque scenery.
Lingering Garden: First built in Ming Dynasty, it's a World Culture Heritage of UNSECO, and one of the four famous gardens in China. The architectural structures and lake rocks are the most prominent.The Guanyun Peak, has the legend that this exotic rock was a relic of the Song Dynasty, 6.5meters high, showing the typical characteristics of Taihu rocks --"hollow, wrinkled, slim and transparent".
Suzhou Museum: Originally the west site of the residence of Li Xiu-cheng, Loyal King of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom,it is a local comprehensive museum of Suzhou, and the last architecture designed by Leoh Ming Pei, a world-renowned architect. It contains abundant cultural relics, such as celadons, jades, paintings and calligraphic works.
Lion Forest Garden (Lion Grove): As an elegant garden, it bosts a large group of Taihu-rock artificial hills. The caves in the garden are zigzagging and secludes, like a large labyrinth.
Panmen Scenic Zone: On the southwestern corner of Sncient City, this zone consists of the Panmen Gate, Ruiguang Pagoda and Wumen Bridge, showing the exquisite charm of the garden and the natural interest of wide field of vision. The existing Panmen Gate is the only well-preserved water and land city gate in China, and in the world as well.
