Overview: about 50mins driving distance from downtown Shanghai, Zhujiajiao is the closest water village nearby Shanghai. If you have limited time here, but want to see an old Oriential Venice, this tour will be a great choice! We designed this tour to let you enjoy relaxed walking and boating around Zhujiajiao, the quaint ancient water village;
Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel downtown, then driving about 50 mins to Zhujiajiao waterside village, an ancient village with a history of more than 1000 year. There are numerous of stone bridges built in Mining & Qing dynasties.
Our guests will walk around leisurely and take small wooden boat in the village:
Kezhi Garden: a classical garden used belong Ma Family. With unique architecture, Kezhi Garden is the largest garden in the village.
Fangsheng Bridge (Releasing Captive Fish Bridge), is the longest, largest and tallest stone bridge. Built in 1571,(Jiaqing years of the Qing Dynasty) it known as the landmark of Jujiajiao.
North Street - Ancient Street: an ancient street with the village traditional shops and residental buildings from Ming & Qing dynasties. Various village food, snacks, and gift shops, attracting great numbers of domestic and foreign tourists.
Boat tour: Our guests will also enjoy the small wood boat tour to experience the "Oriental Venice", with various ancient bridges cross the river courses.
At the end of the happy tour, our guide & driver will send our guests back to hotel, or any place downtown our guests wish to stay.
